The History Weekend
October 13 thru October 15

Did you know that Cambria is 151 years old? Maybe it’s time to learn a bit of local history. What better way than to visit town during its annual salute to history.

Get an early start and arrive in time to take a step back in time by taking a self-guided walking tour of the historical East Village. Download your map for this self-guided tour. Then why not plan for dinner with an ocean view? Here are a couple possible locations: Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill and San Simeon Beach Bar and Grill.

Get an early start on Saturday by checking out the scarecrows. Park in the East village and walk along Burton and Main Street to check our your favorite scarecrows. Then drive over to the West Village, park, and stroll from Cambria Drive to Highway 1 to see another great assortment. Want more? Take a drive along Moonstone Beach and head up to San Simeon. Finished with scarecrows? It’s time to head to Cambria’s east village for all the Harvest Days activity and a tour of the Cambria Historical Museum.

Make a full evening of it. Have an early dinner at a place like Robins or Black Cat Bistro and then check out The Last Flapper, a production at Cambria’s Pewter Plough Playhouse.

On Sunday, with flappers still in your mind, continue your look at life in the 20s by taking at tour at Hearst Castle State Park. After your tour, stop at the pier in San Simeon for a walk out over the ocean. It will help clear your head before returning home for the routine ahead.
