I moved to Cambria from the Thousand Oaks area in 2015. As a young girl, I vacationed here with my family and I have always wanted to spend my retirement years here. I got involved with The Scarecrow Festival two years ago while attending a workshop to make masks that would be attached to wood frames. It was so much fun and it was a very encouraging, non- judgmental way of getting to be creative while also getting to know people.
In 2019 I became involved in transforming worn out scarecrows into fresh new scarecrows. This group of volunteers are known as Dr.Crow and again it’s a fun way to work with people in the community.
I am truly amazed at the dedication of so many people who work hard to bring this fun festival to Cambria and so happy to be a part of it.
